Assembly of car bodies

This demo cell simulates an automobile assembly line. Eight Kawasaki robots are installed in a compact layout to efficiently assemble a car body. First, the Kawasaki CX210L robot holds a small workpiece using a mechanical gripper and the BA006N arc welding robot welds it to the car body. Simultaneously, the Kawasaki BX100S robot equipped with a small gun spot-welds the lower body. The Kawasaki CX210L changes the tool from a gripper to an FSJ (Friction Spot Joining) gun to join certain parts of the body. On the front side of the body, the Kawasaki BX300L robot welds the upper body with a large spot-weld gun.
